Prototype Gundam RX-78-1 G1 Second Build

Kit: Bandai Master Grade RX-78-2 Gundam and G-Option RX-78-1 Conversion Kit
Paint: Tamiya, Gaia Notes metallic, Testors and Vallejo Mecha Color.
Decals: Aftermarket came with Conversion Kit

This Gundam is a second build after the first one was lost due to chemical reaction with Alclad Klear Kote lacquer and Tamiya acrylics. The paint job started to melt after a year where it became soft and tacky. I was lucky enough that a friend supply me with another kit. This second build also built with some new improvements to the eyes and sensors using UV resin.

Gundam Prototype RX-78-1

The Gundam Prototype model is constructed from G-Option resin conversion kit. It also included metal Vulcan barrel for head cannon, metal thrusters for the backpack and metal gun barrel for the rifle. Metal tubes were also used for added detail on chest and sides of feet. The base kit used to construct is a 1/100 MG RX-78-2 O.Y.W. version. Model was completed November 2018.
